Services for new parents

Every service is conversation, at your pace, with no set number of sessions. Bridgette explains the approach in your first session.

  • Individual sessions for new parents

For parents in the first year who want somewhere to say what is hard out loud. Sessions are conversation: what the week was like, what you are carrying, what you would like to be different. Your clinician sets the pace with you, and there is no set number of sessions.

    • 50 minutes, in person or by video

    • Not a crisis service: call or text 988 any time

    How fees work
Therapist talking with a client across a glass table in a bright room
  • Worry and the early weeks

For parents whose mind keeps running: checking the baby, replaying the birth, dreading the night. Sessions look at what the worry is about, what the days and nights are like, and what small, practical changes are open to you. If a doctor should look at how you are feeling, Bridgette will say so.

    • Talking, with practical steps between sessions

    • Not medication or a medical assessment

    How fees work
Two women talk on a grey sofa, one holding a phone
  • Grief after a loss

For parents grieving a pregnancy or a baby, including when another child is born after. Grief has no timeline and no single shape, and you do not have to explain why it still hurts. Sessions make room for what you feel, including feelings that sit side by side.

    • Slow, listening-led sessions

    • Not a support group

    How fees work
A smiling woman gestures as she talks with another woman across a small round table
  • Who you are now

For parents who love the baby and still miss their old life, or who feel they no longer recognise themselves. We talk about identity, work, friendships and the plans you had, and what you would like the next year to hold.

    • Includes planning a return to work, or a decision not to

    • Not career coaching

    How fees work
A large round grey armchair with cushions beside wicker baskets and dried flowers
  • Partner and couple sessions

For couples and co-parents who are short on sleep and patience, and for partners who did not give birth and are not sure there is room for them. Sessions look at how you talk to each other, who does what, and time together.

    • One partner, or both together

    • Not for a relationship where one of you is afraid of the other

    How fees work
A young couple sit on a sofa listening to an older woman in a rattan chair in a plant-filled room
